 On Tuesday, 20 September 2016, H.E. Mr François Hollande, President of  France, and H.E. Mr Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa, will present  the report of the High-Level Commission on Health Employment and  Economic Growth to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at a  side event during the UN General Assembly in New York.
On Tuesday, 20 September 2016, H.E. Mr François Hollande, President of  France, and H.E. Mr Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa, will present  the report of the High-Level Commission on Health Employment and  Economic Growth to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at a  side event during the UN General Assembly in New York. The report will include recommendations for world leaders to ensure that  all countries have a health workforce capable of meeting the health  needs of the 21st-century, and to enable countries to maximise the economic benefits that health sector employment generates.
 
 The Commission was established by Secretary-General Ban in March 2016,  and is being chaired by Presidents Hollande and Zuma, and vice-chaired  by the World Health Organization, the International Labour Organisation,  and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. It aims  to inspire action by drawing the attention of the international  community to the social and economic benefits of investing in the health  workforce, locally and globally.
